Inbox poetry: Summer love rhyme

I made a rhyming poem of words taken from my email inbox today

summer music
solstice        gown
evening      tangles
ocean      town

tender      sweetness
you        unique
100 degrees
this week

rhythm        building
July      due
art       fantastic
scenes     with     you

With only a tiny bit of cheating, these words even are arranged in the order they appear in my current inbox, so it’s almost an erasure poem. Once I realized I could make it rhyme with the first stanza, I decided I had to carry that on for at least one or two more. It was a fun change of gears from the novel-writing and editing sectors of my brain! Try it with your inbox today.
